The bounty program relates to six blockchain vulnerabilities that should be rated “critical,” causing significant blockchain network disruption, damage, and fund loss.

Aptos stated that the reward program is accessible to persons from territories other than those sanctioned by the US Treasury, which includes Russia, Iran, and North Korea.

Mo Shaikh and Avery Ching co-founded Aptos, both former members of the Meta (previously Facebook) Diem stablecoin project, which was approaching completion but was suspended owing to regulatory issues before coming online.

Aptos was dubbed a “Solana killer” because, using the scripting language Move developed for Diem, it claimed to be the fastest blockchain in terms of transaction speed, exceeding the current fastest network Solana.

Aptos, a public blockchain, has received investments from well-known investment firms such as a16z, Multicoin Capital, FTX Ventures, and Coinbase Ventures. Binance Labs just announced a further investment in this Layer-1 blockchain. The startup was valued at more than $4 billion.
