Binance Labs Invested In Blockchain Salus Security
Binance Labs, the incubator and investment arm of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced an undisclosed investment in Salus Security, which delivers blockchain smart contract audits and automated smart contract vulnerability identification.
Binance Labs said on Monday that it led the initial investment round for Salus Security, but did not disclose the amount raised. Yi He, Co-Founder of Binance and Head of Binance Labs, said in the statement:
“At Binance, security has always been a priority and we’re on the continued lookout for service projects that offer innovative security solutions to resolve pain points currently facing the blockchain ecosystem.”
Yi He said that she has ambitious goals for the venture capital department, which oversees $7.5 billion in assets across over 200 projects.
Yi He stated that difficult economic times are ideal for spotting interesting ventures to invest in. Binance intends to invest in Web 3.0 initiatives ranging from infrastructure, application, and data to analytics and security, according to her.
Recently, Binance Labs also announced an investment in the Layer-1 Aptos blockchain platform.
