Boba Network Expanded To Avalanche Blockchain

Ethereum layer-2 protocol Boba Network has announced the launch of its L2 scaling and augmenting solution on the Avalanche blockchain.
Boba Network Expanded To Avalanche Blockchain

Boba Network will enable Avalanche, a Layer 1 blockchain that bills itself as a speedier Ethereum, to achieve scaling requirements. According to a Wednesday statement from Avalanche, Boba is Avalanche’s first Layer 2.

It will be accessible to assist in the scaling of dApps created on C-Chain — Avalanche’s main smart contract platform that supports the Ethereum Virtual Machine and hosts various decentralized apps (dApps).

Boba is an Optimistic rollup that lowers gas expenses while increasing transaction throughput for blockchains. While Boba was initially launched on Ethereum last year, it first became multi-chain in June of this year by merging with the Fantom and Moonbeam blockchains at the same time.

Aside from its Optimism-based scaling approach, the Boba Network team intends to provide Avalanche developers with access to its Hybrid Compute offering. This is a cloud environment that allows blockchain applications to interface with data from Web2 apps like social media networks.

Luigi D’Onorio DeMeo, head of decentralized finance at Avalanche’s core development firm Ava Labs, said:

“By deploying to additional chains, Boba breaks fresh ground and brings Avalanche its very first L2, equipping our talented developers with yet another way to make dApps cheap, fast, and scalable will only benefit users. We’re excited to see how this integration evolves and where the story of Avalanche L2s leads.”

As a result of Boba Network’s integration with Avalanche, EvoVerses will be available on the platform as a launch partner dApp. To expand and reach its full potential, the play-to-earn turn-based strategy game will use Boba’s key products.
