Snoop Dogg purchased Death Row Records, the record label that helped launch his music career, in early 2022, according to reports. The rapper bought the label from MNRK Music Group and released his 19th studio album, BODR. Following the acquisition, Snoop assured the media that blockchain technology and NFTs will play a major role in Death Row’s ecosystem.

Gala Music, a blockchain music firm, said on Thursday that Snoop Dogg’s brand manager Nick Adler has joined a newly formed Gala Music advisory board. Gala included a video of all the board members in the tweet, including DJ and composer BT, Tupac Shakur’s former manager Leila Steinberg, and record producer DJ EFN.

Brandon Tatum, Gala Music’s vice president and worldwide head of music business, discussed the new advisory board with Billboard.com writer Benjamin James. He said:

“The creation of our advisory board is an exciting next step in Gala Music’s growth. We look forward to leveraging the knowledge and industry-specific wisdom of these entertainment industry experts to help guide the Gala team on its high-level vision and initiatives to increase our chances of sustainable success.”
