Cryptoys CEO Discusses The Role Of Play And Toys In Web3 Environment

On October 14, NFT Steez, a bi-weekly Twitter Spaces hosted by Alyssa Expósito and Ray Salmond, met with Will Weinraub, the founder of Cryptoys, to discuss the present role of play and toys in their integration with nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and Web3.

Weinraub believes that the act of play is not limited to children and that adults want the element of play throughout their lives. Play, according to Weinraub, has changed as a result of technological advancement. NFTs, particularly gaming, have drawn attention to this layer of ownership through play.

Adults, according to Weinraub and Cryptoys, are simply seeking methods to feel like children again. Keeping the subject of how play evolves front and center, Weinraub believes this is a basic component of his experience with play development.

Weinraub stressed how deeply the internet had fostered an evolution in play and games, from action figures to witnessing his children develop virtual worlds in Roblox. According to Weinraub, players are no longer restricted to their communities or geographic places.

When compared to prior decades of gaming, Weinraub emphasizes that the content is very, very different and leans more toward social play, regardless of regional constraints.

Weinraub confirmed the existence of the scenario when questioned about worries regarding children and young people’s comfort level with their digital connections in comparison to their real-life social contacts. He did, however, say that while it can affect some people, it can also exacerbate some of that.

Weinraub mentioned how the current condition of the Web3 economy is built on tokenization while addressing in-game tokens and their current use. Weinraub explained how crucial it is for the future generation to adapt and interact with tokenization and ownership in the proper way.
