The Sandbox announced that it would discontinue the MATIC/SAND staking pool from October 25 but said it would continue to offer strong rewards for the SAND-only staking pool and the SAND staking pool for LAND owners.
The SAND/MATIC program was launched on the Polygon network at the end of last year. After successfully releasing the SAND token on Polygon, the developers chose to thank its early adopters who contributed to the network’s liquidity.
Since then, 12.5 million SAND has been allocated to The Sandbox community through the MATIC/SAND pool.
The end of this staking scheme is only the beginning of a new era. Following the SAND-only staking pool opening on February 11, 2022, and the SAND staking pool for LAND owners on September 22, 2022, The Sandbox will continue to reward its community through various staking initiatives.
