On October 28, Crypto.com, the world’s fastest-growing cryptocurrency platform announced that it has inked an MoU with global content studio “A Story” and A Story’s IP business subsidiary AIMC to develop NFT cooperation. Through this arrangement, the two businesses will work together to promote NFT initiatives that are based on A Story productions.
The two businesses will work together to create the social NFT series “Extraordinary Whales Club”, which is based on the Korean drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo“, as their first joint venture.
The drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo centers on Woo Young-woo, a young attorney with autism spectrum disorder and a brilliant mind. Woo Young-woo is portrayed in the film by Park Eun-bin. The show has become well-known for using original stories and messages to address a variety of societal issues. The first project in this cooperation, the social NFT series “Extraordinary Whales Club,” which aims to help spread awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder, will be made available later this year through the NFT marketplace on Crypto.com.
On October 27, the Blockchain Week in Busan Networking Dinner, which was organized by Crypto.com and featured four pieces of art created by renowned Korean illustrator Chul-min Lee, featured an MOU signing ceremony between the two companies. Three of the sculptures will be auctioned off at a different occasion later this year, while one was sold at the event. Both Autism Korea and the marine environmental organization Hot Pink Dolphins will receive a portion of the sales.
