NBA Superstar Steph Curry Filed ‘Curryverse’ Trademark Application
Steph Curry seems prepared to deliver his version of the Metaverse to the NBA’s 650 million followers after filing a “Curryverse” trademark application on October 26.
Steph Curry’s comprehensive trademark application covers rights to entertainment services, namely, personal, virtual, and metaverse appearances, as well as online gaming services in the form of virtual worlds.
This filing is the first known crypto-related trademark he has registered, even though the three-time NBA champion has been an ambassador for crypto exchange FTX since September 2021.
The application also includes virtual clothes and products, company management and investment services, charitable fundraising services, and software as a service (SaaS) platforms for developing advertising, selling, and trading NFTs.
Steph Curry is no new to the NFT community, having previously acquired a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT in August 2021. Other digital relics in the NBA star’s collection include a membership card to Web3 golf company LinksDAO.
The Golden State Warriors player’s interest in a golf inspired him to invest in LinksDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) aiming at creating the world’s finest golf community.
