The move of Huobi‘s headquarters from the Seychelles to Dominica in the Caribbean appears to have been verified.
Huobi appeared to confirm that it will relocate to Dominica by retweeting Justin Sun’s statements and the associated FT report with a single parasol emoji. Sun is the founder of Tron and was appointed as an advisor on Huobi’s global board. Sun told The Financial Times that Dominica is “one of the frontrunners” in the Caribbean and “is a very crypto-friendly community.”
Additionally, last month, Tron collaborated with Dominica’s government to create a national blockchain infrastructure and release a national fan token. Roosevelt Skerrit, the prime minister of Dominica, is described in the interview as “a very tech-savvy person” who “understands how crypto and the technology work,” according to Sun.
