According to MetaMask, their bridge aggregator will support Connext, Hop, Celer cBridge, Polygon Bridge, and four more bridge suppliers.

Before deciding on its chosen bridge suppliers, the cryptocurrency wallet service claimed to have conducted a thorough screening procedure. It further stated that the chosen bridges complied with security and decentralization standards.

The service is a feature of MetaMask’s recently released portfolio app, the company wrote in a blog post about the beta release.

Through these bridges, users may send and receive supporting tokens valued at up to $10,000 between Polygon, Avalanche, BNB Smart Chain, and Ethereum. Tokens have been supported by Ether and wrapped Ether, well-known stablecoins like DAI, and native gas tokens like MATIC. Users may use the bridge aggregator to find the cheapest method of sending bitcoin across supported networks.

MetaMask pledged not to charge transaction fees for bridging cryptocurrencies in its beta version. The platform hopes to expand its coverage to include Layer 2 chains like Optimism and Arbitrum.
