On November 17, the company announced its Spanish license. With the Bank of Spain‘s license, Bitstamp‘s regional affiliate may now provide electronic wallet custody and exchange services for fiat money to Spanish customers.

After the company’s certification in Italy in July, registration began in Spain. The exchange was established in 2011 and is authorized to conduct business in both Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
