The FTX Collapse Series By Marvel Directors and Hunter Creator David Weil
The FTX Crypto Scandal Series, eight-part limited series about the FTX collapse has been set up by Amazon. It comes less than 24 hours after Apple reportedly won the rights to Michael Lewis’ upcoming book on the topic.
Marvel directors Russo Brothers will produce and direct an eight-part limited series about the FTX scandal, written by ‘Hunters’ creator David Weil. In particular, “Hunters” showrunner David Weil will create and write the pilot episode, while the Russo brothers are currently in negotiations to be the series’ directors. Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes will be executive producers for the project, alongside David Weil and Natalie Laine Williams.
The project is just one of many narrative and documentary projects about FTX and its founder Sam Bankman-Fried that are currently under development, while the FTX series’ specifics, including its source material, are now under wraps.
After being hired for “Citadel” rewrites, this is Weil’s second collaboration with the Russos and AGBO. Weil has produced three Amazon shows so far, including the upcoming second season of the conspiracy thriller “Hunters,” for which he served as both creator and showrunner.
