Following the announcement that Jack Dorsey will donate $1 million to messaging app Signal each year, as well as a blog post detailing Dorsey’s thoughts on the blockchain social network, Koty Auditore has announced his wish to receive funding from the former Twitter CEO for Nostr.
After 2 hours, Dorsey replied to the tweet and said he was “looking to do it“. He committed to deposit money into the developer fiatjaf till around 24 hours later.
Nostr (short for Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays) is a censorship-resistant decentralized social network that operates without a central server and requires all users to run a client.
In May, Jack Dorsey formally resigned from the Twitter Board of Directors. He is still the CEO of Block, focused on products that promote the Bitcoin ecosystem and decentralized Bitcoin exchange. Elon Musk’s company, which now owns Twitter, is going through a difficult period.
