PancakeSwap V3 Upgrade Unleashes On BNB Chain Next Month

Decentralized exchange PancakeSwap has announced the launch of its third iteration, PancakeSwap V3, in early April.

The multi-chain DEX, which boasts over $438 billion in total trading volume and more than $2.5 billion in total liquidity locked, will introduce new features to enhance its liquidity provisioning, trading fees, and yield farming experience.

PancakeSwap’s head chef, Mochi, stated that the upgrade would improve users’ experience and expand DeFi accessibility. The new version will be available on BNB Smart Chain, where PancakeSwap currently dominates as the primary decentralized exchange on the chain.

However, PancakeSwap may face increasing competition from Uniswap V3, which is also set to deploy on BNB Smart Chain after receiving approval from its DAO. The governance proposal suggests that Uniswap V3 may target up to 50% of PancakeSwap’s market share.
