Skyland Ventures, a Japanese venture capital firm, reported on April 14 that its Web3 fund, “Skyland Ventures No.4 Fund,” has raised a total of 5 billion yen (approximately 38 million US dollars).
Skyland Ventures is said to have invested in roughly 150 companies, mostly Japanese startups. It will concentrate on investing in Web3 firms after 2022. In April 2022, the SV4 Fund was founded. As a seed venture capital fund, it primarily invests in Web2 and Web3 start-ups, with a particular emphasis on digital economy disciplines such as generative AI and Metaverse.
SV funds primarily attract investments from Internet businesses and their creators, and the SBI Group is a new investor in the SV No. 4 fund.

Through collaborative investments in ANYCOLOR and Cluster, the SBI Group has cooperated with Skyland Ventures. This time, the firm participated as a seed VC by young entrepreneurs in the Skyland Ventures No. 4 fund, which invests primarily in three sectors of the Web and was recently founded by them to pioneer new digital domains. SBI Group hopes that the next generation of entrepreneurs will develop a token economy and a digital economy.
Skyland Ventures was the first Japanese VC partner business to engage in the BNB Chain European Innovation Incubator, and has been interacting with local and international groups in the Web3 industry, such as investing in participating startups.
The company will continue to support domestic and international VC investment efforts focusing on the CRYPTO LAND Web3 technical community.
