1.02 Million Ether Has Been Withdrawn After Ethereum’s Shanghai Hard Fork

According to data from token.unlocks, the total amount withdrawn currently stands at 1.02 million coins, which is a significant milestone for the Ethereum network. Deposited ether since the Shanghai hard fork stands at 373,040, creating a net staking balance of -651,470.

Particularly, Lookonchain revealed 1,024,099 $ETH ($2.15B) has been withdrawn, which is a substantial sum of money. The top 15 withdrawal addresses account for a significant portion of this amount, highlighting the importance of these addresses in the Ethereum ecosystem.

Some of these addresses re-staked $ETH after withdrawal, while others transferred it to CEX, indicating different strategies for using the withdrawn funds.

  • Address “0x08De” withdrew the largest amount at 50,956 $ETH, transferring a portion of it to a Huobi ETH2 Staking address and the rest to another address.
  • Address “0x2E5f” withdrew 25,855 $ETH and transferred a total of 18,000 $ETH to Binance and Kraken.
  • Address “0x4231” withdrew 8,444 $ETH and transferred all of it to Kraken.
  • Address “0xa8c6” withdrew 8,961 $ETH and re-staked some of it.
  • Address “0x4B5E” withdrew 5,434 $ETH and re-staked all of it.

There are 13 addresses that re-staked after withdrawing $ETH, with a total of 34,198 $ETH ($72M) staked, indicating the importance of re-staking for these addresses. Overall, this information provides valuable insights into the Ethereum network’s ongoing development, highlighting the community’s interest in improving the platform and its ecosystem.
