At present, the election season for the second special committee of ApeCoin DAO has begun. Yat Siu said that his decision was to make room for the right people. His duties will assist the transition of the new committee members and add new blood to the ApeCoin special committee.

“I am vacating the spot for others which I think is appropriate. My role was to assist in onboarding the new SC members to transition in some new blood but will always be there to serve in other ways,” Siu said.

In addition, Yat Siu said that he will continue to provide services for ApeCoin in the future. Yat Siu is one of the five original members of the special committee appointed as the first special committee of ApeCoin DAO in March 2022. The role of this committee is to serve the community as a “steward” rather than an operator and CEO.

Animoca Brands is collaborating with Yuga Labs on The Legends of The Mara game, and Siu told the Gazette in April that the company intends to create more Bored Ape-related games in the future.

In a Cointelegraph interview, Siu talked about the future of NFTs and thinks nonfungible tokens are going to usher in human creativity that is truly valued.

In addition, ApeCoin DAO launched the second special committee election, and the application submission will be closed at 2:00 on May 21. Candidate voting will start June 15-21, membership voting will take place June 22-28, and new members’ terms will begin July 1, 2023.
