Binance has announced the launch of its new platform Capital Connect, which aims to provide a self-service platform for institutional investors looking to invest in cryptocurrency funds.
The platform is designed to connect investors with funds that meet their specific investment criteria, and provides access to detailed fund information, such as performance records, assets under management, and minimum investment amounts.
In recent years, there has been an increased demand for investment opportunities in digital assets, due in part to changing interest rates and macroeconomic conditions. As a result, institutional investors have been showing more interest in exploring digital asset funds. Capital Connect is designed to meet this demand.
The platform is open to Binance VIP-level users, who are required to hold the equivalent of 200,000 BUSD in their accounts. Both investors and investment managers must complete Binance Institutional’s know-your-customer verification in order to participate.
This new platform is expected to benefit the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem, as increased capital flow in crypto asset funds will lead to positive spillover effects. However, the platform is only available in certain jurisdictions across Latin America and Asia Pacific, as well as Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Allocators in the US are not currently able to participate.
