According to Reuters, former crypto billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried is contesting his pre-trial detention in light of allegations surrounding the collapse of his cryptocurrency exchange, FTX. Bankman-Fried’s lawyers submitted a filing to the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, asserting that he was exercising his First Amendment rights when sharing written pieces authored by his former colleague and romantic partner, Caroline Ellison.
