Ethena Season 2 Will Be Launched with Enhanced Rewards

Ethena Season 2 replaces “Shards” with “Sats” to align with the event’s focus. The campaign, spanning five months until September 2 or until USDe’s supply reaches $5 billion, will feature BTC as the underlying asset.

Notably, rewards for the second quarter will be enhanced for early adopters. Users who maintained their positions in the first quarter without alterations will qualify for increased rewards in the subsequent quarter.

Ethena, operating as a Liquid Staking Derivative (LSD) protocol built on Ethereum, offers a decentralized alternative to traditional banking systems. Through USDe, Ethena Labs aims to empower users with enhanced profitability opportunities.

In addition to the second season, Ethena Labs disclosed new reward options and partnerships, including collaborations with MakerDAO and Morpho. Furthermore, existing pools like the USDe Pendle pool will reopen for user participation in Ethena Season 2, alongside the introduction of new pools through collaborations with Pendle.

750 Million ENA Tokens for USDe Holders on April 2

Previously, Ethena intended to distribute governance tokens via an airdrop scheduled for April 2. The airdrop, comprising 750 million ENA tokens, equivalent to 5% of the total supply, will be available exclusively to users holding USDe.

However, users must refrain from unstaking, unlocking, or selling USDe before the stipulated date to qualify for the airdrop. Token claims will commence on April 2, coinciding with ENA’s listing on centralized exchanges. Following the airdrop, Ethena plans to initiate further reward activities for subsequent stages.
