One of the biggest Ethereum NFT initiatives, Doodles, has declared their intention to move its avatar customizer platform, “Stoodio,” from Flow to Coinbase’s Base network.

Doodles Stoodio Migration from Flow to Base

The migration, scheduled for mid-July, will take advantage of Base’s speed and cheaper transactions over mainnet Ethereum. The original Doodles PFP profile picture series will stay on Ethereum; however, Stoodio and NFT wearables and character customization will shift from Flow to Base.

With more than one million followers on the brand’s channels and an average of 25 million unique viewers per week for animated content, Doodles seems to make a big statement regarding its digital presence.

Impact of Migration on Doodles Ecosystem

The shift will greatly improve Doodles’ digital footprint with Base. Stoodio, known for its wide variety of digital wearables and collectables, will greatly benefit from Coinbase’s extensive ecosystem.

Additionally, the migration will culminate in a unique free Base NFT mint event through Zora, unlocking exclusive content within Stoodio.

Products that are not only user-friendly but also entertaining and valuable will drive the next wave of crypto adoption. We continue toward this vision through our partnership with Coinbase and Base.

Austin Hurwitz, Head of Business Development and Strategy at Doodles, told Decrypt

Doodles’ Strategic Pivot and the Upcoming Animated Film

The strategic pivot follows a new animated short film, “Dullsville and the Doodleverse,” which premieres in September and stars Doodles.

Directed by Doodles founder Scott “Burnt Toast” Martin, and featuring music produced by Pharrell Williams, Doodles’ chief brand officer, the film will also feature contributions from musicians Lil Wayne and Coi Leray.

Holguin added, “Web3 and crypto allow us to remove many middlemen and foster a richer ecosystem for our community.”
