Grass Token Airdrop Eligibility Will Be Determined Through Epoch 7 Snapshot

Key Points:

  • Grass token airdrop eligibility will be determined by taking a snapshot of network participation at the end of Epoch 7.
  • After its initial launch, Grass will shift focus from infrastructure development to supporting application development.
Grass, one of the pioneer projects in AI web crawling based on the Solana network, announced a major milestone with the close of Epoch 7.

Grass Token Airdrop Eligibility Reviewed Through a Snapshot at Epoch 7 End

Soon, the project is going to take a snapshot of participation on the network that will be eligible for an upcoming airdrop event for the Grass token. The entitlement to rewards for participants will be weighted from network involvement during this time. How to verify one’s eligibility for the Grass token airdrop, among other additional economic data, will be shared in the next few weeks.

Grass, being the very first Layer 2 Data Rollup platform, contributes significantly to AI training by data amassment from public websites via an enormous web scraping nodes network. It converts this raw data into structured datasets used for the development of AI.

The new phase is supposed to bring the interests of users and the network into line, following the official launch of the network. Grass will then shift from infrastructure development to application support.

New Bandwidth Sharing Feature Converts Unused Data into GRASS

The important feature of Grass is that it empowers unused internet bandwidth. A user usually uses 30-50% from overall bandwidth and leaves the rest as untapped resources. Grass enables users to share or rent out such extra bandwidth in a decentralized way, converting these excesses into Grass Points and GRASS tokens respectively.

The project increases the efficiency of data collection without spending user resources. One could collect GRASS tokens by contributing bandwidth that lies idle, participating in Grass token airdrop events, and benefiting from the new network model that Grass brings for its participants.
