Binance in Argentina Expanded Services Following Regulatory Approval

The company also announced its inclusion in the registry of virtual asset service providers of the Argentine National Securities Commission, the CNV. With this registration, there are now a total of 20 official recognitions that Binance has received from regulators worldwide.

Binance said the move was in line with its commitment to the regulatory adherence posture of both Argentina and the world. With the license, Binance in Argentina now offers all services in the country to local users who can now use a number of wide products such as trading, staking, and other crypto-related features.

Guilherme Nazar, Chief Business Officer of Latin America at Binance, underscored that Argentina is one of the most valuable markets for this platform. He then assured Binance in Argentina will be in full cooperation with authorities for secure and sustainable crypto ecosystem development in the country.

Changpeng Zhao Released from Prison, Pursues New Ventures

The move into Argentina is on the back of similar regulatory approvals given to Binance in countries like Kazakhstan, India, and Indonesia. Its subsidiary, Tokocrypto, also secured a license from Indonesia’s Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency in September.

Meanwhile, the controversial founder and former chief executive of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, best known as CZ, is out after four months from a US prison for violating Anti-Money Laundering regulations.

While barred from managing Binance, CZ has remained pretty active in the blockchain space and is now trying to wrap up the book he was working on, which is near its tail end. He also showed interest in projects related to artificial intelligence and biotechnology.
