Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, the venture capitalists behind Andreessen Horowitz, each donated $2.5 million to Right For America, a super PAC supporting former President Donald Trump.

Right For America Raises Millions

According to recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings reported by Bloomberg, these contributions are part of a broader pattern of high-value donations to bolster Trump’s influence in key swing states. Andreessen also provided an additional $844,600, the maximum allowed under federal regulations, to Trump’s campaign and the Republican Party directly.

While their support for Trump aligns with what they term the “little tech agenda”—policies they believe favor smaller tech companies and startups—their political involvement has extended beyond just Trump.

Interestingly, Horowitz indicated plans to substantially donate to Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign, though records of this contribution have not yet appeared in federal filings.

Tech Moguls: Buying Political Influence?

In total, Right For America raised $27.8 million and entered the last phase of the campaign season with $43.6 million in cash reserves. This super PAC’s efforts are aimed at mobilizing voters in Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.

The largest contributors include Isaac Perlmutter, former chairman of Marvel Entertainment, and his wife Laura, who donated $25 million, together with Apollo Global Management CEO Marc Rowan, who contributed $1 million.

Kelcy Warren, Andy Beal, and Diane Hendricks contributed millions to Turnout For America, another pro-Trump super PAC, which raised $18.5 million. Conversely, the Republican Accountability PAC, which supports Kamala Harris, raised $16.6 million, backed by donors like Netflix’s Reed Hastings.
