Semler Ranks Among Top Global Bitcoin Holders

Semler’s move to increase its Bitcoin reserves shows the increasing trend of institutional acceptance of digital currencies. As more companies start seeing Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation and a way to diversify assets, investments in cryptocurrencies turn mainstream.

Since May 2024, when the company officially adopted Bitcoin as a reserve asset, Semler has adopted a holding strategy similar to that of MicroStrategy, one of the world’s largest Bitcoin investors, which has amassed more than 386,700 BTC since 2020.

Semler Scientific now ranks 14th among the largest Bitcoin holders globally with 1,570 BTC, surpassing Tokyo-listed Metaplanet‘s 1,142.3 BTC.
