Starknet SN Stack Unveiled for Building Custom Appchains

The release constitutes one of the most significant moves from Starknet so far in the direction of modularity for its ecosystem to enable the creation of flexible and scalable solutions.

Starknet SN Stack provides developers with all the elements required to build standalone, application-specific blockchains. The suite bundles a set of key components such as Starknet OS, which is responsible for handling blockchain operations; CairoVM, which executes smart contracts; and Blockifier, building blocks.

Cryptographic testers and verifiers powered by ZK-STARKs ensure the security and trust of decentralized applications.

Paradex Debuts as First Appchain Using Starknet’s SN Stack

There exist three different variants of the Starknet SN Stack. Madara is an open-source and modular framework which allows maximum flexibility. Dojo is optimized for gaming and sophisticated on-chain applications, and the StarkWare Sequencer provides high-performance infrastructure for more demanding decentralized applications.

The first to come online as a design partner using the SN Stack is Paradex, the first appchain, which showcases the potential of the platform. What was once theoretical appchains is now pragmatic through the innovative tools at Starknet.
