IMG Partners With Okay Bears To Create Consumer Products And Experiences
IMG has been designated as the only global licensing representative for the Solana-based PFP project’s consumer products and experiences.
Okay Bears, a successful non-fungible token (NFT) initiative that debuted on the Solana blockchain, is collaborating with global entertainment powerhouse IMG to create consumer products and experiences.
The agreement makes IMG the sole global licensing representative for the community-focused initiative, which comprises 10,000 well-dressed bears offered as PFP NFTs.
Within 24 hours of its April 2022 launch on NFT marketplace Magic Eden, the project achieved $18 million in sales, creating more trading volume than any other Ethereum project. This is crucial since many of the most popular NFT initiatives to date have minted on the Ethereum blockchain.
IMG is a worldwide IP powerhouse that specializes in global product and branding licensing. In 2013, the firm merged with Endeavor (formerly known as WME), perhaps the world’s largest talent agency. However, Endeavor has mostly ignored IMG and has assumed the role of parent business, enabling IMG to focus on what it does best.
The company has worked on license agreements with youth-oriented companies such as Fortnite, Lego, and Angry Birds. Meanwhile, the NBA basketball supplier Wilson and Chicago Bulls point man Lonzo Ball recently cooperated on a 1-of-1 autographed NFT in his image.
