Web3 Builders Network Buildspace Raises $10 Million Round Led By a16z
Buildspace, a network of Web3 builders, announced it had raised $10m in a funding round led by a16z, with participation from Founders Inc, Y-Combinator, Protocol Labs, OrangeDAO, Solana Ventures, OpenSea Ventures, and others.
Buildspace was founded in December 2019 by Farza Majeed, who did something entirely new. At first, he was developing software under the name “ZipHomeschool” to assist parents who were homeschooling their children.
Farza borrowed $25,000 from his buddy Furqan Rydhan to launch the company.
10,000 people have the built-in public on Buildspace, 1000 people have attended IRL initiatives, and some have started multi-million dollar agencies, found co-founders, and even received funding for their startups, demonstrating how popular it has become.
Buildspace aims to provide an educational platform for users to explore their career paths. Now it’s focusing on Web3. Currently, the projects on it include Solidity, Ethereum NFT, Solana Web3 App, and others.
