Thanks to its support of more than 67,000 scholarships at top Web3 educational institutions, the Binance Charity Scholar Program (BCSP) enables the future generation of digital leaders to advance their skills, knowledge, and experience without being constrained by a lack of resources.

Over the last six months, Binance Charity has received more than 82,000 applications for its Binance Scholar Program, which has so far committed $2.2 million BUSD to fund free access to some of the top Web3 educational options available worldwide.

The University of Western Australia, the University of Nicosia in Cyprus, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in Germany, and the Nigerian technological cluster Utiva are a few of the educational partners joining engaged.

Some of the BCSP activities will also be held at Simplon, a tuition-free training facility in France, Women In Tech, the Kyiv IT Cluster, and the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation.

According to Binance Charity, they collaborated with Ukrainian agencies to retrain Ukrainians who could have lost their employment as a result of the conflict with Russia. Binance said in a blog post:

“We first initiated the global Binance Charity Scholar Program in June 2022 with our IT Generation project. This was an initiative created in partnership with Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation and Lviv IT Cluster, designed to help Eastern Ukrainians — who had lost their jobs due to the war — to re-train and re-enter the job market.”

Aiming to promote upcoming female entrepreneurs, the collaboration with Women In Tech will teach roughly 3,000 women in rural South Africa and Brazil.

“We’re seeing interest from a diverse range of people, including a great ratio of women, which is something I feel particularly passionate about. With so many more education initiatives with amazing partners in the pipeline, we’ve never been more excited to build a more inclusive Web3 world.”

The company’s non-profit blockchain education platform, Binance Academy, will also assist Binance Charity through a collaboration.

Over 290,000 hours of Web3 education and training courses were supported by the more than $3.5 million in donations that Binance Charity raised in 2022 alone, the majority of which came in the form of Binance USD (BUSD).
