Las Vegas Sphere Rejects Dogwifhat Meme Coin Display Claims

A spokesperson for the Sphere told Decrypt that there was never a deal in place and only a preliminary discussion had occurred early last year.

“There was and is no plan for Dogwifhat to appear on the Exosphere, and we are distressed they are using our name for fraudulent purposes,” the spokesperson stated.

Deleted Post Fuels Speculation on Crypto Marketing Tactics

The controversy stems from a March 2024 fundraising effort by Dogwifhat meme coin organizers, who collected nearly $700,000 from the token’s supporters in an attempt to secure ad space on the Sphere.

The campaign contributed to WIF reaching an all-time high of $4.83. However, as time passed with no visible progress, criticism mounted, and investors began demanding refunds.

Adding to the confusion, Dogwifhat meme coin’s official X account posted—and later deleted—a message claiming the deal was “officially confirmed.” The post featured an image of the meme dog on the Sphere’s LED display, hinting at a campaign launch in early 2025.
