Through Gala Games, Schiermeyer aims to establish a blockchain-based game network that empowers players with greater ownership of their games. Currently, the Gala Games team consists of 60 employees.

What Sets Gala Games Apart?

Gala Games differentiates itself by offering a diverse range of blockchain games that prioritize fun while utilizing blockchain technology in the background. Town Star, the only playable game currently available, is a browser-based town simulation that allows players to become town managers and own the towns they build. VOX represents Gala Games' collection of unique NFT avatars, each possessing its own distinct characteristics, with some being rarer than others. Beyond serving as NFT avatars, VOX holders can lock up GALA and potentially earn VOXcoin by engaging with their avatars in the future. VOX owners also receive their own FBX file, enabling them to animate or even 3D print their avatars.

Fortified is a player-versus-player tower defense game set in a fantastical medieval world, where players compete to create effective defense strategies. Mirandus is a fantasy RPG set in a vast world governed by five player-monarchs, allowing players to own in-game assets and claim portions of the in-game landscape. Echoes of Empire is a sci-fi strategy game set in a war-torn galaxy, granting players the ability to own spaceships and control sectors of the galaxy. Spider Tank Project is a multiplayer online battle arena game where players choose "spider tanks" to engage in battles against other players. The game is free-to-play and incorporates in-game earning mechanisms. Its release is scheduled for Q4 2021.
