eBay – The e-commerce company has captured the NFT market. Specifically, eBay wants to target the NFT marketplace knownOrigin.
The deal was signed on Tuesday. Other details have yet to be revealed, but the move is the latest in a series of market activities to reimagine itself as a technology leader.
David Moore – the co-founder of knownOrigin, said the partnership would help the NFT marketplace attract a new wave of NFT innovators and collectors.
“As interest in NFT continues to grow, we believe that now is the perfect time for us to partner with a company as visionary and experienced as eBay,” said David Moore.
In May 2022, eBay started a partnership with OneOf – an NFT platform dedicated to selling digital assets in music, sports, and lifestyle. The company said it plans to release additional NFT collections of celebrity athletes throughout 2022.
This cooperation takes place in the context of consolidating other deals in the market. Yesterday, June 21, Uniswap Labs, the leading developer of the Uniswap decentralized exchange protocol, said that it had seized Genie, the NFT aggregator.
