Shopify Integrates More NFT Options for Online Retailers
Shopify eCommerce broker is offering retailers on the platform new ways to connect with customers through NFT-related options.
The company began allowing sellers to create variable stores and integrate more NFTs for token holders. These new integrations will help Shopify increase its connections with its modern users.
“Token holders connect crypto wallets to unlock exclusive shopping experiences, from early access to limited NFT collections openings to one-of-a-kind experiences and more.”
Shopify – E-commerce “big”
E-commerce “big” is borrowing NFTs to make a difference and turn them into the future of online shopping.
Merchants can now create a token gate store on the Shopify app or add this feature directly to the store. The buyer then needs to connect the wallet, verify NFT ownership, and start shopping comfortably. Store owners can create mints (NFTs) on Ethereum (ETH), Polygon (MATIC), Solana (SOL), and Flow (FLOW). Then list them and sell them right on the store itself.
In particular, neither the seller nor the buyer needs to pay with cryptos that can be traded with each other through Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, or credit or debit cards.
Doodles co-founder Evan Keast commented:
“As an ambitious community-oriented project, we look forward to setting the standard for a unique NFT experience. When using Shopify’s tokengated merch, NFT owners will have a whole new experience.”
The online shopping giant has partnered with leading NFT collections such as Adam Bomb Squad, Doodles, World of Women, Invisible Friends, Superplastic, Stapleverse, and Cool Cats to create great stores.
Shopify is the world’s 18th largest e-commerce company, generating $4.6 billion in annual revenue, according to Macrotrends. Shopify is now home to more than 1.7 million businesses worldwide. This platform allows merchants to set up online stores in 175 countries.
The future of Web3 shopping is exclusivity. NFT represents ownership of assets becoming more and more practical, such as making membership cards, event tickets, and “keys” to access limited privileges.
This is not the company first breakthrough in NFT. The company has been joining Web3 for some time – the platform directly supported customers selling NFT last July. Shopify has recently partnered with Strike to facilitate payments from Bitcoin to cash through Lightning Network.
