AnubisDao Rotted Over $1.3 Million After 236 Days Of Running Away

A wallet address related to last year’s AnubisDAO pull rug had its first move, PeckShield warned on June 24.

According to data from Etherscan, an address labeled AnubisDAO Liquidity Rug 3 has moved a total of 1,097 ETH ($1.3 million) to another address. The intermediary then laundered 1,018 ETH ($1.18 million) through Tornado Cash.

AnubisDAO once hugged $60 million to “run away.”

AnubisDAO is a project that stormed the crypto community last October when it successfully escaped less than 24h after its launch. “Follow” OlympusDAO, AnubisDAO uses other coins to prove its tokens and uses the image of death in Egyptian mythology Anubis, originally a dog, to “catch the trend” of meme coin at that time. With the FOMO level, AnubisDAO quickly raised 13,597 ETH, equivalent to $60 million, through the sale of ANKH tokens.

However, in less than a day, $60 million above has been transferred to another address, ANKH/ETH pool liquidity has been withdrawn, and ANKH since then is no longer valid. The famous DeFi investor 0xSisyphus then offered a bonus of up to 1,000 ETH to whoever found the mastermind behind the incident.

Since the theft of 236 days, AnubisDAO Liquidity Rug 3 wallet still holds 12,500 ETH, equivalent to $14.5 million at the time of writing. ETH has lost 70% of its value since the theft, and as a result, the total amount the project has taken away is currently only $16 million, i.e., 3.75 accounts have been split!
