Alameda Research “Responds” To CZ’s Criticism In The First Tweet

This is the first time Sam Bankman-Fried’s Alameda Research has tweeted. This action is said to “frustrate” the criticism of the Binance CEO about Voyager’s bankruptcy.

As previously updated in a Coincu News article, conflict between the two sides “exploded” in the evening of July 7 through a series of conversations on Twitter. Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, commented on Sam Bankman-Fried’s side about Voyager’s bankruptcy filing despite being pumped by Alameda, then revealed that Alameda also owes Voyager money.

CZ also shared a text message with an unidentified person he wrote was “a relatively famous OG in the space” on June 12. Accordingly, the CEO of Binance refused to ask for a loan of 120 million USD despite being committed to mortgage 4 billion USD of assets and pay interest in full. Mr. Changpeng Zhao affirmed that Binance will not risk deals with such large amounts of money.

Sam Bankman-Fried’s side immediately responded on Twitter:

“always happy for people to take an interest in helping the industry (less so if it’s just pretending) but kinda wish some of them would bother asking their legal team how bankruptcy works first… Or, you know, reach out to ask for clarifications. I’m always happy to inform!”

Alameda Research’s Responsive Action

On the morning of July 8, Alameda Research’s Twitter account suddenly posted a tweet declaring:

“happy to return the Voyager loan and get our collateral back whenever works for voyager”

This post was confirmed and retweeted by FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried. Notably, this is considered the first time in Alameda Research’s history to post Twitter, even though the account has been active since September 2018.

This is considered a response from Alameda Research after many rumors about the fund being associated with Voyager because it is both a creditor, debtor and shareholder of this lending platform.
