Filecoin Announces Partnership With Harvard University
Web3 development organization for Filecoin (FIL) has successfully established a cooperation relationship with Harvard University.
On July 28, the Filecoin Foundation for the Decentralized Web (FFDW) revealed it is working with the Harvard Library Innovation Lab (LIL) to protect digital information through decentralized technology.
Harvard’s LIL and FFDW will contribute to the “Democratizing Open Knowledge” program, which aims to help libraries share knowledge through blockchain technology.
The technology that Filecoin provides includes tools such as the Filecoin network and the Interplanetary File System (IPFS). Marta Belcher, President of the FFDW, stated:
“FFDW is on a mission to preserve humanity’s most important information. This collaboration will enable the Library Innovation Lab to explore how decentralized technologies can solve real-world challenges to preserve critical data, and we’re thrilled to support the Library’s Democratizing Open Knowledge program.”
In addition to the partnership just established with LIL, as CoinCu reported, Protocol Labs a few months ago is working with military-industrial conglomerate Lockheed Martin to bring decentralized storage facilities into space.
FIL price has reacted extremely well, continuously growing throughout the past three days. At the time of writing, FIL continues to grow to 19.36%.
