Shensei Bank, a Japanese bank, is now offering Ripple (XRP) to new and existing clients that use their services. The bank launched the campaign on August 10 and it will continue through October 31.
According to the bank, new and current clients can earn up to 8,000 Japanese Yen ($60) in Ripple (XRP) when they use the platform to perform various tasks. These services include creating an account, logging in for the first time to the bank’s site, making your first deposit, and so on.
When you create a new account with Shensei Bank, you will receive a 500 yen ($3.72) discount. Inter-bank transfers can earn the user up to 2,500 yen ($18.86). The currency vouchers are redeemable in both XRP and Bitcoin and may be redeemed in a user’s email.
Ripple Labs has established a strong reputation as a cryptocurrency asset in Japan and throughout Asia. The corporation is still battling the SEC in the United States. However, Ripple has grown significantly in Asia, even being embraced by prominent Japanese banking conglomerate SBI Holdings.
The effort is another move toward making cryptocurrency a more important part of banking in Japan, with Shensei Bank being one of the country’s largest.
