Creators Of Baby Shark Have Released Their Second NFT
A second non-fungible token (NFT) collection based on the Baby Shark franchise was announced by the franchise’s creators just as you were getting ready to return to the metaverse. Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo.
The show announced on Wednesday that the collection’s presale, available to a select and oh so lucky group of fans, will be available to mint at the end of August. The show, which was made famous via a viral song that is the most viewed video in YouTube history and will now rule in your head for the next week or so. Sept. 1 will then mark the beginning of the public sale.
The Pinkfong Company, the company responsible for the phenomena that has evolved into the soundtrack to parents’ worst fears, claims that the inaugural Baby Shark NFT drop in December made a splash and sold out in a flash.
It will be divided into three parts and contain 10,000 computer-generated photos of Baby Shark, Mommy Shark, Daddy Shark, Grandma Shark, and Grandpa Shark.
Holders of NFT will have access to exclusive airdrops, be eligible for custom digital content and merchandise lottery entries, and be able to modify and/or mint new items. Additionally, collectors will be given first dibs on exclusive items and immersive experiences, both online and offline.
The drop will take place on the NFT marketplace MakersPlace – Baby Shark
The kids-focused initiative Baby Shark is not the first to venture into the metaverse and make an attempt to establish a web3 presence. Nursery rhyme YouTube sensation CoComelon recently announced that it would issue NFTs on the Flow blockchain via Zigazoo, a kids’ social media platform. In order to build its web3 capabilities, Zigazoo announced in June that it had raised $17 million in a Series A financing headed by Liberty City Ventures.
