Cross-chain Interoperability Network Axelar Integrates With Arbitrum
Cross-chain interoperability network Axelar announced it has integrated with Layer 2 Optimistic Rollup Arbitrum.
Users can now transfer assets from other chains connected to Axelar to Arbitrum via Satellite, Axelar’s cross-chain transfer application.
Axelar delivers secure cross-chain communication for Web3. Secure means Axelar is built on proof-of-stake, the battle-tested approach used by Ethereum, Cosmos, Avalanche, and more.
Cross-chain communication means users can build a complete experience for the users that lets them interact with any asset, any application, on any chain with one click.
The Arbitrum network is a layer-2 functionality that seeks to solve the congestion that the Ethereum network has been experiencing by improving how smart contracts are validated.
In addition, the platform leverages the security provided by the Ethereum mainnet but allows smart contracts to run on a separate layer to reduce congestion within the network.
Arbitrum compensates nodes that actively validate the smart contracts powered by the Arbitrum chain with ETH, and they are responsible for adding the blocks to the first layer – the Ethereum mainnet.
The integration with Arbitrum makes it possible for digital assets to access the Layer 2 platform with cheaper and faster gas fees, and safety issues are also better controlled.
