Sommelier, a co-processing protocol for the Ethereum Virtual Machine or EVM, announced a research and development partnership with Mysten Labs to accelerate liquid transactions and launch intelligent contract applications on the blockchain.
Sommelier was founded in 2020 by Zaki Manian, a core developer of the Cosmos protocol, or LPs.
Blockchain, which combines the Tendermint consensus level, the Cosmos Stargate SDK, and the two-way Ethereum Bridge, will work with Mysten to implement Move’s innovative contract programming to serve the entire Cosmos developer ecosystem support bridge with smart contract functions.
Mysten Labs is a Web 3.0 infrastructure platform founded this year by a group of cryptographic program engineers responsible for the blockchain architecture of Facebook Diem’s cryptocurrency payment platform and mobile wallet.
Mystery’s experience in this area will help scale the Sommelier blockchain to 100,000 transactions per second, or TPS.
Sommelier co-founder Zaki Manian commented on the positive impact of the partnership:
“With this partnership, we aim to complete the work of unlocking Tendermint’s potential to be the fastest blockchain network in a data center-level environment.
We are excited to partner with the best of Facebook’s top team of former cryptography and distributed computing engineers who brought Diem and Novi to life. “
