Bluzelle announced today its developing an easy to implement storage node technology that will allow anyone to earn BLZ on their computers or mobile devices. People will be contributing space and security to Bluzelle’s layer 1 chain and be compensated for it.

Running nodes for blockchain projects is not anything new. Though Web3 technology has taken leaps and bounds over the past five years, setting up a node still requires strong know-how of the tech as well as a lot of capital. Another common issue is that a node can only be created on certain types of computers with suitable operating systems.

Bluzelle sets out to solve this by making it easy for anyone to install Bluzelle’s node application onto their computers or mobile devices. This will work on any operating system: Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or iOS. Once it is installed and a user provides their Bluzelle wallet address, their device becomes a “JIT” (just in time) storage node service provider, earning BLZ tokens for the fractional times their machine is up. This operation is similar to an Ethereum PoS pooler miner app, that anybody can install on a PC these days, and start to earn fractional amounts of ETH proportional to the uptime they provide.

“The Curium storage node application is one of the core technologies we envisioned to produce when we launched Bluzelle’s white paper over six years ago,” said Neeraj Murarka, co-founder and CTO of Bluzelle. “Now anyone can become a part of our decentralized infrastructure network, capitalizing on the idle time their machine is online. They can feel proud that they are helping run games, store NFTS and more while also being compensated for it.

Bluzelle has published a roadmap that will see the Curium storage node app become live by the end of 2024.

About Bluzelle

Bluzelle is a decentralized storage layer built for the creator economy. Backed by a 10,000 TPS blockchain, Bluzelle offers a secure, fast, and low cost storage network to power Web 3 games, NFTs, AI and more. Bluzelle’s vision is that anyone can earn BLZ by offering the unused storage space on their devices to the network.
