BTG Pactual, a Brazilian investment bank, has started rolling out an app that can be used to trade cryptocurrencies. With this app called Mynt, bank customers can make crypto-based direct investments in various altcoins.

As of now, users of the bank’s Mynt platform can only buy BTC and Ether. But over time, BTG Pactual hopes the new app can support even more crypto assets.

On the implementation side, Andre Porthilo, head of virtual assets for the bank, also confirmed that he and the institute have high expectations that the platform will soon support more cryptocurrency transactions.

The investment bank’s CEO, Robert Sallout, meanwhile, said the application’s implementation was tailored to the needs of clients. He revealed that many of their clients have shown interest in investing in crypto. The bank has thus met the wishes of its customers by giving them access to them.

There is no doubt that the crypto industry continues to expand and gain popularity, especially as El Salvador introduces BTC as legal tender. According to the CEO, the bank has no choice but to educate its customers about the technology and then about every other available crypto asset in the financial markets.

Before the introduction of the Mynt app, the investment bank was dominant in the Brazilian market. Before the real estate-based security token ReitBZ was launched, the bank spent time analyzing digital assets.

To date, no other investment bank can be seen to have done what BTG Pactual did. BTG Pactual is the first bank to allow its customers to invest directly in cryptocurrencies by keeping up to date with technological developments and responding to users’ needs.
