Semler Scientific Ups Bitcoin Reserves by 297 BTC
The recently acquired Bitcoin places Semler Scientific Bitcoin reserves at 1,570 BTC at an average price of $75,039 per Bitcoin for a total of $117.8 million.
Thus far, the company, which announced a Bitcoin treasury strategy back at the beginning of this year, has returned 58.4% on its Bitcoin investment since July 1.
The performance of the Semler Scientific Bitcoin strategy, tracked through its proprietary metric known as BTC Yield, has graced an uptick trajectory flow with particular success between October 1 and November 22, at 37.1% BTC yield.
Semler Ranks Among Top Global Bitcoin Holders
Semler’s move to increase its Bitcoin reserves shows the increasing trend of institutional acceptance of digital currencies. As more companies start seeing Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation and a way to diversify assets, investments in cryptocurrencies turn mainstream.
Since May 2024, when the company officially adopted Bitcoin as a reserve asset, Semler has adopted a holding strategy similar to that of MicroStrategy, one of the world’s largest Bitcoin investors, which has amassed more than 386,700 BTC since 2020.
Semler Scientific now ranks 14th among the largest Bitcoin holders globally with 1,570 BTC, surpassing Tokyo-listed Metaplanet‘s 1,142.3 BTC.
