This speculation begins with Miami Mayor Francis Suarez announcing that he will accept 100% of his next salary in Bitcoin. In the meantime, Eric Adams, the elected Mayor of New York City, has followed suit by raising further and announcing that he will receive his first 3 salaries in Bitcoin.

They were followed by Scott Conger, the Mayor of Jackson (TN). In a tweet on Thursday, Conger said he will convert his next paycheck to BTC immediately, despite city law prohibiting him from accepting Bitcoin directly.
