KILT Protocol completes security test with SRLabs and prepares for full decentralization
KILT Protocol, the leading decentralized identity validator for Web 3.0, announces that it has completed a security audit with Security Research Labs (SRLabs), a Germany-based cybersecurity research and consulting company.
Security Research Labs, a cybersecurity consultancy with extensive audit experience @kusamanetwork, @Speckle, @substrat_io-based chains, has completed its review of KILT as one of the final steps before decentralization.https://t.co/ka9DZ6bqNK

According to the November 8 announcement, the development team said that the KILT protocol is currently in the final stages before full decentralization, which is expected to take place from mid-November to mid-December, which will also include the return of KILT Coin to the wallets of those who participated in the crowdloan in support of the project in September and are also listed on the stock exchanges.
As for the security testing to effectively validate the KILT code base, SRLabs used a code validation strategy for the threat model. For each identified threat, bogus attacks have been developed that can be used to detect the threat. The risk priority, code base, or palette has been rated to provide protection against the related threats and attacks and the vulnerabilities that enable those attacks.
SRLabs focuses on testing KILT Blockchain, KILT Software Development Kit (SDK) and Sporran Wallet.
Karsten Nohl, founder of SRLabs, added: “Every blockchain system brings with it new security challenges due to its unique business logic and implementation. Based on the threat model, our testers can focus their attention on the most likely attack paths. The partnership with BOTLabs on the security KILT protocol worked really well. “
During the evaluation, SRLabs identified eight problems, two of which were very serious. These two issues were found in the staking section and resolved by the KILT team. The remaining six issues affecting the functionality of KILT with medium to low severity were addressed by the KILT team during the next runtime upgrade.
The KILT roadmap has reached the fully decentralized phase.
“We’ll be announcing more milestones this week,” said Christine Mohan, KILT Business Development Vice President, on Telegram.
