Merlin Chain Expands Staking with Phase 2 Launch

The latest phase of staking raises the participation cap to 20 million MERL, offering an annualized yield of up to 50%. PoS mainnet upgrade will introduce BTC/MBTC staking and governance participation.

The initial phase of the staking activity saw rapid adoption, with the first 10 million MERL quota locked in just 26 minutes. Additionally, centralized exchanges recorded a net outflow exceeding 17 million MERL.

Beyond staking, the PoS upgrade will expand the number of network validators, reinforcing both decentralization and security. Once the Prestage phase concludes, Merlin Chain will move toward full PoS mainnet activation, integrating ZK Rollup-based validation.
