Those four altcoins shot up more than 100% in just a week as Altcoin-led ETH rose
Several Altcoins have shown signs of life in the past seven days, with Ethereum breaking away from the Bitcoin trend.
Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, gained 12.52% in the past week, according to CoinMarketCap. Over the same period, Bitcoin fell 0.35%.
One of the top performing altcoins towards the end of the year is Axie Infinity (AXS), a blockchain-based game that allows players to collect, breed, breed, fight, and trade digital creatures that can be collected.
Last week, AXS rose from a seven-day low of $ 5.20 to a new all-time high of $ 13.59, which is a gain of more than 161%, according to CoinMarketCap.
Another altcoin that is on the rise is KCS, the native token of the KuCoin crypto exchange. KCS rose from a 7-day low of $ 6.86 to a high of $ 14.47, up more than 110% in just one week.
The third crypto asset that has made great strides this week is the cross-chain decentralized financial platform Alpha Finance (ALPHA). This altcoin has rebounded more than 114% from a seven-day low of $ 0.41 to $ 0.88.
Next up is the Perpetual Protocol (PERP), a decentralized platform that offers perpetual contracts (derivative contracts with no expiration date) for any asset. The PERP is up 112% in the past seven days from a low of $ 5.59 to a high of $ 11.86.
Other altcoins are also showing bullish signs as Bitcoin continues to trade sideways.
Many coins in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector have also rallied, with some gaining 50% or more in the past week.

While many altcoins are seeing rallies, most assets are still below their all-time highs – and if Bitcoin continues its downtrend, it will likely pull the rest of the market.
The bullish activity in altcoins comes when the total market cap of all cryptocurrencies increases from $ 1.39 trillion on July 2 to $ 1.53 trillion today, a 10% increase.
