Semiotic AI becomes the third core protocol developer to join the World Wide Web 3 network this year, and aims to improve the security, scalability and cost-effectiveness of the intelligent platform through the use of new technologies.

Graph Basis has announced an eight-year $ 60 million grant to Semiotic AI to expand the software startup’s research and development capabilities in the fields of cryptography and artificial intelligence.

In particular, the partnership will focus on building the architecture required for the automatic and verifiable indexing and querying of graphs, as well as the development of micro-payment functions using zero-knowledge proofs such as ZK-SNARK.

During the course of 2021, Semiotic AI partnered with Graph to contribute to the development of the ecosystem with many initiatives, including a first-time scholarship this March.

With this message, Semiotic AI is following in the footsteps of two infrastructure platforms and becoming the core protocol developer in the network. StreamingFast received a $ 60 million round of funding from Graph in June, while blockchain service provider Figment raised $ 48 million in late July.

Graph co-founder Brandon Ramirez shared insights on how semiotic AI will achieve greater economics and scalability at The Graph through the use of artificial intelligence and cryptography.

At the beginning of September, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin touted ZK-SNARKs as a potential big tech application in the coming decades.
