The company’s “Spedn” mobile app may now be used to pay with Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and other cryptocurrencies at all GameStop shops in the United States.

The platform has also enabled support for a number of metaverse-related coins, including Axie Infinity Shard (AXS), Smooth Love Potion (SLP), and Decentraland (MANA). Because of their enormous increases, these tokens garnered a lot of attention earlier this year.

Earlier this week, the network began supporting some of the most important assets in the NFT ecosystem.

Shiba Inu, the second-largest meme cryptocurrency, was integrated by the firm last week, giving the best-performing cryptocurrency of the year a significant adoption boost.

The Flexa payment network became live in March 2019, allowing users to spend Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies at real establishments.

Whole Foods and GameStop were initially on the list of approved retailers, however both brands were eventually removed from the Spedn app. Starbucks also took part in the app’s experiment.

It is important mentioning that retailers continue to receive cash rather than cryptocurrency, with Flexa functioning as a middleman between them and cryptocurrency owners.

In order to handle rapid payments, Flexa employs AMP, an ERC-20 token, as collateral. In the event of a mistake, merchants receive staked AMP tokens to compensate their losses.
