Chainlink has an average of 1.4 new partners per day in 2021
The leading Oracle provider Chainlink has so far set up an integration partner in 2021 with a rate of more than 1.4 per day.
According to the archives of the Chainlink ecosystem portal, so far 281 different crypto projects have announced integrations in 2021, with the current calendar spanning 201 days a year.
With a total of 650 third-party Chainlink integrations to date, this means 43% of project partners were launched this year. In contrast, around 250 partners integrated into Chainlink in the course of 2020.
Although many of Chainlink’s partners are little-known projects in their infancy, some of the top players in the crypto space recently partnered with the crypto provider, including Chainlink, Huobi’s ECO, Hedera Board of Directors, and Alchemix.
More and more projects are using Chainlink’s Verifiable Random Function (VRF), which offers decentralized applications a secure and automated solution for randomization.
Connected: By integrating chain links, Metaverse can truly reflect the real world
For example, the blockchain-based game Infinity Skies announced a partnership with Chainlink on July 20 to fairly distribute its “loot” in the game.
“Since the loot is probabilistic and the NFT has real value for the player, the forced loot imprinting cannot be ‘gambled away’,” says Infinity Skies.
“Chainlink VRF offers the intelligent contract from Infinity Skies, which is responsible for opening chests, direct access to a verifiable and manipulable random number in order to determine the result of opening the chest.”
Cryptocurrency developers have come up with a number of new uses for Chainlink’s VRF functionality, with PancakeSwap also integrating VRF for its decentralized lottery app last week. Other projects use VRF to ensure that prizes and rewards are released in a demonstrably fair manner.
